Give your furry friends the best summer possible...Here's how!

Natural Remedies for Pets

Flea/Bug Repellant Spray

Mix 10-15 drops of your favorite pet safe oil (we suggest oils such as basil, eucalyptus, bergamot or thyme) with 1-2 oz of mild organic soap and water. Pour into spray bottle and spray down your pet periodically throughout the day

Flea/Bug Repellant Shampoo

-12 oz water

-1 TBSP Castille Soap

-2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

-2 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil

-2 drops Lavender Essential Oil

-2 drops Rosemary Essential Oil

Mix in glass container and shake well before each use.

(For extra soothing, replace 2 oz of water with aloe vera)

Flea Collar

Mix a few drops of your favorite pet safe oil (we suggest oils such as cinnamon, rosemary, clove, peppermint, and cedarwood) with 2 TBSP of almond or coconut oil. Dilute as needed for cats as their skin is very sensitive to oils. Redose when you can no longer trace the scent of the oils, which is about every 2 weeks.

Soothe Paws and Skin

Paws: Tea tree/Melaleuca essential oil can soothe dryness and pain from walking on the hot concrete as well as fight infections.

Skin:

-2 TBSP almond/coconut oil

-10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Note: Cats are very sensitive to oils as they metabolize them differently. They are especially sensitive to strong odors and, most of all, citrus. It is always best to consult with a vet before applying anything to your pets skin. Also, it is never safe to apply oil directly to any animal’s skin without being extremely diluted.

Fly Repellant

Mix equal parts vinegar and water and spray on your pets coat. If you prefer using oils, you can use basil, eucalyptus, bergamot or thyme by putting a few drops in a full container of water and spraying on your pet.
